contemplating three years..

a week under three years ago this blog errupted due to the war up north between lebanon and israel.. the media today was partly focussed on a retrospective and i found it interesting to note that many (previoulsy against) now supported the war given residents on the northern border have since lived more or less in a state of security..

two days ago i was at the doctor's clinic and she told me her version.. she lives in haifa and she commutes to telaviv.. she had some visitors over from australia and the day the war started she was at rosh hinkra with her guests.. ie right by the border with lebanon..

her son who was doing military reserve duty called her and told her not to go north.. she said wtf im already at the border and he was like get the fuck out of there.. she drove back and moments late heard explosions behind her..

HOWEVER - their itinerary remained unchanged.. they traveled all over the north and still went to all the places they wanted to go to.. and then two days later she and her husband were out and their guests packed their belongings and pissed off 60 kms southwards to other relatives in hadera.. she was so offended hahah.. i didnt bother telling her i empathised with her guests..

may we never see another war again..
